Lehi's Tech Corridor Runs on Badges, and Keys Still Matter
Domo founder Josh James coined the name Silicon Slopes, and Wikipedia places the region's largest tech cluster in and around Lehi. Adobe's campus near Cabela's opened in 2012 and houses about 900 employees. Texas Instruments agreed in 2021 to buy the former Micron and IM Flash fab and broke ground in 2023 on a second 300-mm fab, part of an $11 billion investment. Wikipedia also lists Ancestry, Vivint, Oracle, Workfront, DigiCert, ProPay, and Purple Innovation among Lehi employers, and the Outlets at Traverse Mountain add more than 50 stores.
Office buildings like these typically put card or fob readers on the main entries, but a reader-controlled door usually still has a key cylinder for override, and interior doors, IT closets, and storage rooms often run on keys alone. When a company grows from one suite to two floors, or shrinks after a reorganization, those keys spread. Office parks such as the Thanksgiving Point business park, home to the Lehi FrontRunner station, see tenants move in and out on that cycle.
Growth is the other constant. Lehi's 2025 Census estimate of 95,313 residents edged past Orem, and the Postal Service added a second ZIP code, 84048, in 2025 for the north end of the city. Each new building needs its doors keyed, closers set, and exit hardware in place before the first employees badge in.
