Saratoga Springs Is Growing Its Business Side Along Redwood Road
Utah Population Committee figures from the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute ranked Saratoga Springs as the state's fastest-growing city from 2024 to 2025, in both raw numbers and percentage, after it added about 4,682 residents. Retail has followed the rooftops onto Redwood Road. The Crossing, at Redwood Road and Pioneer Crossing, is a 123,500 square foot center anchored by Smith's Marketplace, the first phase of a 75-acre commercial plan. Jacob Ranch Marketplace at 1900 Redwood Road holds Macey's, Ace Hardware, and restaurants such as Costa Vida. The city has also unveiled a 200-acre downtown master plan.
Young shopping centers mean a steady flow of first-time tenants. A second-generation space can carry keys from the last tenant, the leasing agent, the contractor who did the build-out, and the cleaning service. Whoever signs the next lease should start with a rekey of the storefront cylinder and the rear service door.
Most residents live in master-planned communities, and Census estimates date 94.2% of the city's housing units to 2000 or later. Legacy Farms, for one, includes a clubhouse and pool. Shared buildings like that work more like a small business than a home: many users, seasonal hours, and a board that has to cut off access when a family moves away. Keypad or fob entry often fits them better than a key for every household.
