Spanish Fork's Industrial Park, Retail Hub, and Canyon Highway
Spanish Fork's business map has three anchors. Around the Spanish Fork Airport, the VERK Industrial Park grew by 418 acres in January 2024, when the Utah Inland Port Authority expanded the project area to about 2,682 acres aimed at manufacturing, distribution, and data centers. Wikipedia's employer list, which may be dated, names Mountain Country Foods as the largest private employer with 350 workers, along with Klune Industries, Nature's Sunshine, and Rocky Mountain Composites.
At I-15 and US-6, Canyon Creek is a 240-acre mixed-use development with Costco, Walmart, Good Earth, and Ace, plus a 2017 expansion that brought Cinemark, Ulta, Petco, and Ross. Its plans set aside 65 acres for a hospital and health care, and Intermountain planned a 30-bed Spanish Fork hospital east of I-15 and north of US-6. The city says its major corridors carry roughly 60,000 vehicles a day, and US-6 through Spanish Fork Canyon is the main route to Price and eastern Utah.
Industrial buildings put the most strain on hardware. Dock offices, tool cribs, and server rooms need locks that hold against force, egress doors need exit devices that release in one push, and multi-shift operations run better on card or fob schedules than on keys handed from one crew to the next.
