From Battle Creek to Valley Grove: Pleasant Grove Lockouts
Pleasant Grove, "Utah's City of Trees," slopes up the Mount Timpanogos bench, and its trails start close to town. The Battle Creek trail leaves from the Kiwanis Park lot at the end of 200 South, with overflow and horse-trailer parking behind the water tank, and the G monument sits 0.75 miles up at about 6,076 feet. Grove Creek Canyon, the 6.5-mile Valley Vista trail system, and the Murdock Canal Trail, which runs 17 miles from Orem to Lehi with several trailheads, give hikers and riders plenty of places to leave a car.
Trailhead lockouts come in two kinds. Keys locked inside are a quick entry job. Keys lost on the mountain mean a new key, and with immobilizer chips in nearly every modern car, that key has to be cut and programmed, not just copied. For most makes both can be handled right in the lot, with no tow down Battle Creek Road.
Down at I-15, the Pleasant Grove Boulevard interchange anchors the town's office cluster. doTERRA keeps its headquarters here, and the 130-acre Valley Grove business community includes Valley Grove III, built for up to 700 employees. A lockout in a full employee lot is easier to sort out when you give us the building and row. In between sit residential streets in neighborhoods the city map still calls Monkey Town, Little Denmark, and Scratch Gravel.
